Please answer all of the following questions to help us give you some ideas on what you will need for mounting your projector.

1. How will you be mounting your projector?

Ceiling mounting is the most common method.

2. Is your projector invertible?

Invertible means you can flip your projector over and mount upside down. Most projectors that are ceiilng mounted are inverted which you need to invert the image as well. With some projectors, inverting is not possible.

3. Do you have a false ceiling/suspended ceiling?

False ceiling is usually installed below real ceiling to provide space for cable, lighting and piping. Sometime called supended ceiling or drop ceiling. Usually a tile system found in business environment.

4. How far is the top of the screen from the ceiling?

Typically you should mount your projector lens at the same height as the top of the screen. Most mounts will lower your projector at least 2.5" - 4" without an extension. To lower the projector further you will need an extension.

5. Will you be installing on an angled ceiling?

Sometime refered to as a cathedral ceiling found in churches and some homes. Some mounts will not come with the appropriate accessories for you to mount from a ceiling that is not completely horizontal.

6. Are you looking for a universal mount?

A universal mount should work with 90% of the projectors on the market. With custom fit mounts you will need the exact brand and model since different models may have different hole patterns for a certain brand.

7. Is your projector over 20 lbs?

Projectors over 20lbs usually need additional reinforcement to have a secure installation.
